Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)

How do I hire you for live music?

I’m available for apres ski, bar/patio music, resort events, festivals, private parties, and corporate events. You can book me by reaching out via my online booking form. Please be sure to provide all details and I will follow up in 24-48 hours to confirm availability and pricing for your event!

Do you accept tips?

There’s no better way to tell me you’re having a good time (other than dancing and singing along) than to let me know with a tip! I appreciate any and all tips via cash or Venmo. You can always find my Venmo QR code on my A-frame sign or set lists or business cards that will be available at the gig – public or private!

How do you take payment?

I accept payment through cash, check, or Venmo. Payment is always due by the end of the performance. Occasionally, I require deposits for private parties/events that are booked far in advance. This may always change on a case by case basis.

How far in advance should I book?

The earlier the better! I am very flexible if I have availability – I have played private parties with 24 hours notice before. Ideally, I know at least a week in advance but when in doubt, simply contact me through my booking form!

I am also available to book gigs up to 6 months in advance. I may require a deposit for 3+ months in advance to reserve the time slot.

Who is the best musician in Summit County, Colorado?

Of course, I’m partial to Andy Stratton. He’s professional, talented, and very well reviewed. Crowds always enjoy his style and energy and he even has a bit of a following around the county, especially at his gigs in Breckenridge, Frisco, Dillon, and Keystone. He also plays many gigs in Silverthorne and sometimes Copper Mountain. Don’t forget, in addition to apres ski music, he also plays private parties and corporate events.

As for who is objectively the best musician, I think you have to make that decision for yourself!

Do you take requests?

Absolutely! If I know it, I will play it for you. And if I don’t – I’m open to learning it. If you are booking me for a private event/corporate gig, I happily will learn a few songs by request. You can also submit a request on the set list page.

What kind of music do you play?

I play live music in the style of alternative and 90’s, rock and classic rock, country, and some 80’s tunes. Singer-songwriter and folk/indie can sometimes make an appearance as well as some originals. You can browse a fairly comprehensive set list under the Live Music page on my website.

How much do you charge?

The cost per performance can vary depending on venue, type of performance (public/private, size), location, travel time, and more. The best way to find out the cost for your venue/need would be to reach out via my Booking Form and get a quote for your needs!

Do you play private events?

Yes, I play private events all over Summit County. These events are typically 2 hours and I provide all live sound. All I need is access to a 3-prong electrical outlet within 15 feet or so of the playing area. I can also provide a canopy to help with coverage from sun or weather.
